Kenya’s biggest wilderness, red-dust elephants and a lot of space to yourself.
Info
Split into Tsavo East and West, this is Kenya’s largest protected area and its emptiest: an hour can pass between vehicles. The park’s elephants dust themselves red in laterite soil, and the springs at Mzima let you watch hippos and crocodiles through an underwater viewing chamber, a genuinely unusual safari sighting.
