Kenya’s most celebrated big-cat reserve, and the reason most first safaris get booked in the first place.
Info
The Masai Mara sits at the northern end of the same ecosystem as Tanzania’s Serengeti, and it shows: resident lion prides, healthy leopard numbers along the river forests, and cheetah working the open plains year round. Between July and October the Great Migration arrives in force, with wildebeest and zebra crossing the Mara River in scenes that draw travellers back again and again.
